Every dollar goes directly to supporting seafarers; our board and volunteers draw no salary.
Our seafarer center can provide information, someone to talk to, facilities to contact home, and a place where the men and women who visit our port can relax away from their ships. Our small hospitality center is located inside the port, just walking distance from the docks. The self-service area is open 24/7.
Grant funding and private donations resulted in over $45,000. Thank you all. The buildings were purchased outright and we have no debt. We had a successful grand opening and blessing on May 16, 2023. Over 80 people attended the event in the rain to support us.
As the port grows, our Center will also need to grow making additional funds essential. Please consider us when you wish to make a charitable contribution.
As required by the IRS, we will mail a formal acknowledgment letter for any donation of more than $250. Please provide the mailing address for us to send this important tax document.

Year-End Tax Planning
Make Your Giving Go Further
Charitable contributions rank high on the list of tax season strategies. Consider us when talking with your financial advisor, planner, or accountant.
If you are required to take retirement age-based required minimum distributions (RMDs) from tax-deferred retirement accounts, a portion or all of the RMD can be transferred directly to a qualifying 501(c)(3) charity and eliminate the income due to the taxpayer on the amount transferred. For taxpayers that are regular charitable givers, this provides a very tax-efficient and favorable way to support the institutions and causes you are passionate about.
